genesis of hydrothermal alterations using stable isotope geochemistry in takestan area (tarom zone)
نویسندگان
چکیده
hydrothermal alteration processes are extensively took place on volcanic and pyroclstics of takestan area. existence of abundant, deep fracturing and subvolcanic intrusions are enhanced extend hydrothermal alteration zones. the following alteration zones are determined: propylitic, argillic, advanced argillic and sillicic. there are outcropped and widespread in different size and limit. formation of siliceous sinter, silicified tuffs with preserved primary sedimentary layering including pure mineralized alunite patches are most outstanding. quartz, sussoritic plagioclase, chlorite, sericite and alunite are main mineral constituents in the volcanics. on the basis of geochemical data volcanic rocks are rhyolite, dacite, andesite, andesitic-basalt and basalt in composition. acid-sulfate zone is the type of alteration in tarom area and alunite is an index mineral of this zone. results of 18o, d and 34s stable isotope geochemistry on altered minerals (muscovite, kaolinite and alunite), revealed that alteration fluids are magmatic in origin.

متن کاملStable isotope Geochemistry
This review is intended principally to be a reasonably comprehensive bibliography. It covers papers by workers in stable isotope geochemistry in the United States that have been published or presented at national meetings since the last quadrennial report. The titles of the papers in the bibliography are in most cases indicative of the general content, so only the highlights are described below...
متن کاملPetrology and Oxygen Isotope Geochemistry of the Pucón Ignimbrite - Southern Andean Volcanic Zone, Chile: Implications for Genesis of Mafic Ignimbrites
Introduction: Although mafic components of dominantly intermediate to silicic ignimbrites are rather common, voluminous, dominantly mafic ignimbrites are rare (e.g., Smith, 1979; cf. Freundt and Schmincke, 1995). Volcán Villarrica, the most active composite volcano in South America, located in the Southern Andean Volcanic Zone (SAVZ, López-Escobar and Moreno, 1994a), has produced two such ignim...
متن کاملA review of the stable-isotope geochemistry of sulfate minerals in selected igneous environments and related hydrothermal systems
The stable-isotope geochemistry of sulfate minerals that form principally in I-type igneous rocks and in the various related hydrothermal systems that develop from their magmas and evolved fluids is reviewed with respect to the degree of approach to isotope equilibrium between minerals and their parental aqueous species. Examples illustrate classical stable-isotope systematics and principles of...
متن کاملIsotope Geochemistry
Isotopic analysis can be performed on minerals, rocks, soil, tissue, gases, and liquids – just about anything. In view of the broad possibilities, we will only cover a few generalities here. In most instances, the element to be analyzed must be first isolated and purified before it can undergo isotopic analysis in a mass spectrometer. Purification is necessary to avoid isobaric interferences an...
متن کاملMineralogy, geochemistry and fluid inclusion investigations in the Agh-Darreh copper deposit, Tarom area, NW Iran
Agh-Darreh copper deposit is located in Tarom area, about 25 km north of Abhar city. Main alterations identified in this region include silicic, argillic, and propylitic. Andesite and silica veins host sulfide mineralization. Chalcopyrite and pyrite are the main hypogene minerals accompanied by gold and silver in siliceous veins, with smaller amounts of galena. Malachite, azurite and goethite a...
